UCL: Liverpool’s Salah makes history as first African to reach 50 Champions League goals

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has become the first African player to score 50 goals in the UEFA Champions League.

The Egyptian star reached the milestone on Wednesday, netting Liverpool’s fourth goal in the 62nd minute during their second-leg clash against Galatasaray S.K. at Anfield.

Salah redeemed himself after missing a penalty in the first half, eventually finding the back of the net to cap a strong performance for manager Arne Slot’s side.

Meanwhile, Nigeria international Victor Osimhen was forced off at the first half during  encounter after sustaining an injury.
