BRGIE in talks with U.S Govt over Deal, makes offer public

0

Biafra Republic Government-in-Exile (BRGIE), led currently by Acting Prime Minister Ogechukwu Nkere, has discussed with United States officials possible agreements between the BRGIE and U.S. government officials.

BRGIE has had conversations with U.S. policy-makers, offering both economic and defense deals in exchange for political support, which are being considered.

According to BRGIE Acting Prime Minister Ogechukwu Nkere We have been in discussions with several U.S. officials regarding agreements between BRGIE and the United States government.

He said, we have offered several items, which we will now make public, include but are not limited to the following:

1. Defense agreements between the United States government and Biafra, including

allowing for the United States to have permanent military bases in Biafra as well as access to seaports, and to station U.S. troops.

2. Establish a close counter-terrorism collaboration between the United States and Biafra against Islamic terrorist groups in the region, as well as piracy in the Gulf of Guinea.

3. Enter into MOU agreements with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, and allow forthe CIA to operate freely in Biafra territory. Furthermore, invite the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency to establish listening posts in Biafra, for the purposes of signals intelligence.

4. Establish economic agreements between the United States and Biafra, especially in the areas of critical minerals and oil and gas, which would include preferential treatment and concessions for U.S. companies.

In exchange, the BRGIE would like the following from the U.S. government:

1. Politically support BRGIE and Biafra’s work towards self-determination, including backing an eventual United Nations formal recognition or acceptance of BRGIE’s self-referendum in which 50,048,916 Biafrans voted “yes” to exit Nigeria and gain independence. There is prior precedence, with the U.S. supporting South Sudan’s independence backed by U.N. referendum.

2. The U.S should Recognize the declaration of restoration of independence of the United States of Biafra as an independent nation as ratified in December 2nd, 2024 in Lahti Finland.

3. The U.S. should establish itself as a mediator between the Biafra Government and the government of Nigeria, to assist in negotiations between the separation of the two parties in round table discussions.

4. The U.S. government should pressure the government of Nigeria to release Indigenous People of Biafra leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and to allow him safe passage out of Nigeria. Furthermore, the U.S. government should pressure the government of Finland to release BRGIE Prime Minister Simon Ekpa, to has been subject to a politically motivated detention at the instigation of the Nigerian government.

According to BRGIE Acting Prime Minister Ogechukwu Nkere, “In light of President Trump and his Administration’s recent successful mediation between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the United States’ likely recognition of the independence of Somaliland, I wanted to more publicly highlight BRGIE’s offer to the United States government.

“I have already been discussing a tentative deal with several U.S. officials, and think this is the time for the U.S. government to move forward into agreements with BRGIE.

“BRGIE will be a pillar of stability and a country which will be the closest friend of the United States in West Africa and the Gulf of Guinea.”

NGO Calls on Oando Plc to Pay N8bn Owed to Niger Delta Indigenous Contractors

A civil society group, Coalition for Equity in Resource Justice (CERJ), has called on Oando Plc, a leading oil and gas company, to honour its financial obligations to host Indigenous contractors in the Niger Delta, amounting to N8 billion.

In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Comrade Tari Efemena, the group decried what it described as the “deliberate delay and denial of justice” to Indigenous contractors whose lands, waters, and livelihoods have supported oil operations for decades.

“For far too long, oil companies have profited from the resources of the Niger Delta while neglecting their basic responsibilities to the people. Oando Plc must urgently pay the ₦8 billion owed to Indigenous Contractors. These funds represent compensation, commitments, and obligations that cannot be swept under the rug,” the statement read.

CERJ stated that while multinational corporations continue to expand profits, local communities are left to suffer the consequences of pollution, underdevelopment, and broken promises.

“We are not begging; we are demanding justice. The people of the Niger Delta deserve more than lip service. Oando must lead by example and pay what is due. We will not remain silent while corporate entities enrich themselves at the expense of the region’s dignity.”

The group urged regulatory bodies such as the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources to step in and ensure compliance and accountability.

“This is not just about money; it is about justice, dignity, and restoring trust. Any further delay will be seen as economic sabotage and a betrayal of the Nigerian people. As a concerned civil society organisation, we are giving Oando Plc a one-week ultimatum to address this longstanding issue. Failure to do so will leave us with no option but to mobilise and peacefully picket their offices in Lagos, Abuja, and London.”

Osimhen’s transfer: Napoli president making fool of himself as Galatasaray take decision

0

Turkish football transfer expert, Süleyman Rodop has revealed that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is making a fool of himself regarding Victor Osimhen’s transfer as Galatasaray won’t make a new offer for Nigerian.

Rodop said this after Napoli had asked Galatasaray to pay an initial €40m and €35m by 2026, plus a sell-on clause for Osimhen’s signature.

Recall that Galatasaray had made their fourth offer to the Serie A champions for the 26-year-old’s signature this summer.

Speaking on Osimhen’s situation Rodop said (via habersarikirmizi): “Galatasaray won’t make a new offer for Victor Osimhen. They won’t go beyond the last offer.

“Victor Osimhen’s contract expires next year, but there’s a plus-one, and Napoli has the right to extend it. Napoli has the initiative there.

“We need to give Victor Osimhen a big thumbs-up. He’s taking a great stance. Galatasaray will no longer be at the table with Napoli’s new offer.

“Galatasaray’s latest offer is clear and unchanged. If Victor Osimhen’s transfer goes through, a reserve young striker could join the squad; such a plan is in place.

“Galatasaray has no right to demand a share of the sale after paying 75 million for Victor Osimhen! The Napoli president is just making a fool of himself.”

Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Atiku predicated his resignation on the “trajectory” the party has taken.

“I am writing to formally resign my membership from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.
“I would like to take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude for the opportunities I have been given by the Party.
“Serving two full terms as Vice President of Nigeria and being a Presidential candidate twice has been one of the most significant chapters of my life.
“However, I find it necessary to part ways due to the current trajectory the Party has taken, which I believe diverges from the foundational principles we stood for.
“It is with a heavy heart that I resign, recognizing the irreconcilable differences that have emerged.
“I wish the Party and its leadership all the best in the future. Thank you once again for the opportunities and support.
“As a founding father of this esteemed Party, it is indeed heartbreaking for me to make this decision”, his resignation stated.
