John Arum, the abducted graduate of the University of Jos, has dismissed widespread rumors claiming he died in captivity.
In a fresh video released on Monday, April 20, 2026, his captors described the reports circulating online about his death as false.
In the footage, Arum is heard confirming his status, saying, “Today is April 20, 2026, and I am alive.” He also disclosed details of the ransom demand, stating, “They demanded 10 million naira for my release, and 6 million has been paid; it is now remaining 4 million naira.”
The kidnappers, however, issued a warning that any further delay in payment could put his life at risk.
The video comes amid growing public concern following earlier footage of the young graduate that circulated online, sparking fears about his safety.
