Niger Delta activist and former BBC correspondent Donu Kogbara has criticized the administration of President Bola Tinubu, describing its “Renewed Hope Agenda” as “renewed shame.”
Kogbara argued that insecurity has worsened under the current government, claiming that virtually every form of security challenge has manifested during its tenure.
Speaking during an appearance on Arise News, she urged government officials, particularly those benefiting from the administration, to stop what she described as misleading narratives about the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to her, the slogan does not reflect the realities faced by Nigerians, insisting it should be rebranded as “renewed shame and nonsense.”
She said, “First of all, I did mention Goodluck Jonathan, and I want to make it very clear that I think there’s been a steady downward trajectory since then. I’m not putting him on the same level. Things are getting worse, much, much worse.
“And this Renewed Hope, you people had better stop trying to deceive everyone. It is renewed shame, nonsense.”
