The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that FIFA has dismissed its petition against the Democratic Republic of Congo over a 2026 World Cup-related matter.
The confirmation came on Tuesday from the NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi.
Despite the ruling by FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee, the football body expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome and revealed plans to challenge the decision.
“We have received the decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on our petition, but we are not satisfied with the decision, which rejected our petition,” Sanusi said.
“I want to assure Nigerians that the NFF has immediately commenced the process of appealing the decision.”
