Former US President Donald Trump has predicted that the Republican Party will win the 2028 presidential election in the United States.
Trump made the remark during a phone interview on Fox News’ The Five, expressing confidence that a Republican candidate would emerge victorious in the next election cycle.
“I would say it will be a Republican. I really believe that, and I think it will be a good one,” he said.
He added that the Republican Party has a strong pool of potential candidates, noting that a strategic combination of individuals could make the party difficult to defeat.
Trump also suggested it would be unfair for the Democratic Party to return to power after the next election.
The next US presidential election is scheduled for November 2028.
Trump, who has served two terms as president, is constitutionally ineligible to run again.
