Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, has lost his mother, Mrs Sarah Chukwueze, after a brief illness.
Mrs Chukwueze passed away in the early hours of Thursday.
The sad news was announced by the footballer’s sister, Princess Chukwueze, and his brother, David, through posts on their respective social media accounts.
This is coming barely few days after Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi lost his father his father.
Joseph Ndidi reportedly died in a fatal road accident in Delta State.
Both Chukwueze and Ndidi were members of the Super Eagles squad that secured a third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
