The lawmaker representing the Edo North Senatorial District, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole says there are claims that signatures of some lawmakers were allegedly forged in the suspension of Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
DAILY POST reports that the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Conduct had in March 2025, recommended the suspension of the lawmaker for alleged “gross misconduct”.
Speaking on the matter while appearing on AIT’s ‘One-on-One’ programme in Abuja on Monday, Oshiomhole said some members of the committee told him that they did not endorse the report but their names were published.
“There were people who even claimed that their signatures were forged in that document.
“Senator Kingibe told me “but I didn’t sign that report, I did not agree with the content” but her name was published in the report that was tabled by the Senate.
“The committee has a hearing, where they hear out people who have something to say and then agree on certain recommendations.
“The members of the committee are expected to sign that report so that it becomes the collective decision of the committee.
“But there are two or three members who said they didn’t sign the report but their names were published”.
