EPL: Ian Wright names games Arsenal must draw or not lose to win title

0

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has disclosed the matches the Gunners cannot afford to lose or draw if they are to win the English Premier League this season.

Arsenal defeated Leeds United 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Viktor Gyokeres got the monkey off his back with a brace while defender Jurrien Timber netted another brace in Arsenal’s rampant win.

Bukayo Saka had earlier scored for the Gunners in the first half before being forced off in the second half through a hamstring injury.

However, Wright said he was impressed with the ‘patience’ the Gunners showed in the match and felt, in the end, it was a ‘run-of-the-mill’ win for his former club.

“If you’re trying to win the Premier League, you have to win all of your home games,” Wright said on Premier League Productions.

According to him, Arsenal responded well to the game plan of Leeds United who he feels were at the Emirates Stadium to frustrate the Gunners.

Arsenal’s next game is a away at Liverpool as the hope to maintain their fine start to the season.

The Gunners are current on top of the Premier League with two wins from two games.
