United States citizens have shunned Nigerian music star Burna Boy his comments on fan.
This comes the Nigerian music star, Burna Boy cancelled two dates on his “No Sign of Weakness” US tour following widespread social media backlash and poor ticket sales.
The show scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, at The Armory in Minneapolis was abruptly cancelled after fans failed to purchase enough tickets. Ticketmaster announced the last-minute cancellation on its website on Thursday. Another concert set for December 1, 2025, in Chicago was also pulled.
Although organisers did not state an official reason, the cancellations come in the wake of online criticism directed at the artist after he confronted a couple for sleeping during his performance in Colorado. A viral video of the incident fuelled controversy, which escalated when Burna Boy responded on Instagram Live, saying he wanted “supporters who buy my tickets, not fans.”
It later emerged that the woman seen sleeping at the concert had been grieving a recent personal loss.
Burna Boy confirmed the cancellations on Friday via his Instagram Story, sharing a direct link to the ticketing site showing both shows listed as cancelled.
