Arsenal drew 2-2 against Sunderland on their Saturday English Premier League fixtures.
The Gunners travelled to the Stadium of Light, knowing that a win will widen the gap at the top, ahead of Manchester City’s game against Liverpool tomorrow.
But it was the hosts who took the lead, with former Arsenal defender Daniel Ballard ending their clean sheet run with a vicious finish from a long ball.
Mikel Arteta’s men fought their way back in the second half, with Bukayo Saka pouncing on a defensive error to level the scores.
Arsenal then went ahead with a long-range strike from Leandro Trossard.
However, their winning run came to an end after Brian Brobbey volleyed in a late equaliser for Sunderland.
Arsenal now have 26 points, seven ahead of City and Sunderland.
