The newly nominated Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa had earlier this year, raised alarm over the activities of Jihadists, alleging that they are hell bent on taking over Nigeria.
Musa, who spoke during a live church service with Bishop David Abioye of the Conqueror Global Assembly said the country is in a serious security crisis.
He appealed to Nigerian Chriatians to continue to pray for the nation, ensuring that with God, peace will return to the country again.
He said, “We are going through challenges, it’s not only in Nigeria but I want to assure you that the Lord Almighty loves this country and will never let this country go down.
“We are facing unprecedented challenges by the Jihadists and they are hell bent on taking over but God will never allow them to succeed.
“We serve a living God that will never let us down. But as Christians, we need to pray consistently and ceaselessly to ensure that this country remains one and the same.
“This is a blessed country. Everybody in the world knows Nigeria is great and some who are not happy with Nigeria are still standing.
“In 2015 some people said Nigeria was going to pack up, this is 2025 and we are still standing”.
