Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has honored an invitation extended to him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning.
El-Rufai, a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), was invited by the anti-graft agency over allegations of corruption linked to his tenure in office.
The former governor arrived at the EFCC headquarters accompanied by a large crowd of supporters.
Last week, El-Rufai reportedly avoided arrest at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Following the airport incident, he granted a series of interviews in which he accused the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, of being behind the attempted arrest.
