Chelsea F.C. has been fined £10.75 million by the Premier League and handed a one-window transfer ban, which has been suspended for two years, following historical regulatory breaches during the ownership of Roman Abramovich.
The sanction was confirmed in a detailed statement published on the league’s official website on Monday.
The development follows Chelsea’s decision to voluntarily disclose potential violations of league regulations.
The west London club was subsequently charged by the Football Association in September last year.
An independent commission later determined that the club had breached rules related to financial reporting, third-party investments, and youth development.
Chelsea was acquired in 2022 by the BlueCo consortium led by Todd Boehly, ending Abramovich’s long-standing ownership of the club.
