Argentina captain Lionel Messi says the defending champions will give everything in their quest to lift the 2026 FIFA World Cup trophy.
Messi, who guided Argentina to glory in Qatar in 2022, is set to lead the team once again when the global tournament holds next year across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Speaking when asked if Argentina can retain their crown, Messi told TouchlineX that he believes strongly in the squad’s hunger and determination.
“Yes. I believe this is a group that will try to win the World Cup again, and will give everything and fight,” he said.
Argentina has already secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup and will look to successfully defend their title.
