Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Ekong has confirmed that all outstanding financial issues involving players and officials have been resolved ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2026 World Cup Qualifier playoff.

Ekong, in a post shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, assured fans that the team is now focused and united in their quest to represent Nigeria with pride.

He wrote: “Issue RESOLVED. Outstanding financials cleared and on ground. Team is UNITED and focused as before on representing NIGERIA with our maximum for the games ahead! 🇳🇬 @NGSuperEagles.”

The confirmation comes hours after reports surfaced that players had refused to train due to unpaid allowances, sparking concerns ahead of their upcoming playoff clash.

Nigerian Newssphere reports that Nigeria would play Gabon in Morocco on Thursday, 13th November 2025.
