Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has taken to social media to attack his elder brother, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, a member of the House of Representatives.
The reason for the apparent family dispute was unclear as of the time of filing this report.
Bashir, in a post on his X handle on Saturday morning, accused the lawmaker of abusing cocaine and alcohol.
He wrote: “I have a useless excuse for a brother, with his bony ass face coated with an unknown white substance around his nostrils every night.
“That is your Member in the House, representing a whole populace, but prefers alcohol and cocaine. Yes, you.”
The post attracted reactions from some of his followers, with some advising Bashir against taking a family dispute to social media.
One of the commenters, @cryptogeekng, wrote: “If you are referring to your blood brother, you must be the one on colos. Settle out of court and social Media.”
Bashir, however, dismissed the comment and maintained that his brother was the one abusing drugs.
“He’s the one on colos actually, and a diet of cocaine and whiskey,” he replied.
The development comes amid ongoing legal troubles involving their father, Nasir El-Rufai, who has been detained over allegations of fraud and cybercrimes.
However, the allegations made by Bashir against his brother had not been independently verified as of the time of filing this report, and Mohammed Bello El-Rufai had not publicly responded to the claims.
Recall that barely eight months ago, Bashir and Bello also engaged in an online spat.
