According to information gathered, the kidnappers allegedly sent the video to the victim’s class WhatsApp group as proof of the abduction, initially demanding a ransom of N30 million. Community efforts have since led to negotiations, with the amount said to have been reduced to between N4 million and N5 million.
The incident has triggered outrage across the country, with many Nigerians calling for urgent intervention to secure the release of the victims and improve safety on major highways.
The video continues to circulate online, further intensifying public concern over the rising cases of kidnapping in the region.
