Nigerian music stars Seun Kuti and Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P of the former P-Square, have officially resolved their public feud.
The dispute dates back to the 2023 general elections when the two artistes clashed over the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi. The tension began after Seun Kuti labeled Obi an “opportunist,” prompting Peter Okoye to question Kuti’s relevance and success in the music industry. The disagreement quickly spiraled into a heated social media confrontation.
The former rivals were recently spotted putting their differences aside at a Lagos nightclub, where they shared a warm embrace. In a video from the meet-up, Seun Kuti tells Okoye, “We are artistes, we can’t be fighting over politicians,” a sentiment Mr P echoed as they shook hands, signaling the end of their feud.
