The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its planned nationwide strike earlier scheduled to begin on January 12.
The decision was confirmed in a statement released on Sunday by the association’s Secretary-General, Shuaibu Ibrahim.
NARD had previously announced the planned industrial action following its emergency National Executive Council (E-NEC) meeting held on January 10. The strike was intended to push for the fulfillment of several demands by the Federal Government.
However, the association has now put the planned action on hold, pending further developments.
