Nigerian music sensation Rema emerged as the biggest winner at the 9th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), taking home the coveted Artiste of the Year award at the ceremony held in Lagos on Sunday.
The singer edged out top stars including Davido, Burna Boy and several other leading Nigerian and African artistes to secure the prestigious honour.
Rema’s dominance at the event went beyond the headline award, as he also won Best Male Artist in West Africa, Best African Artist, Duo or Group in African R&B & Soul, among other accolades.
The star-studded AFRIMA ceremony took place at Eko Hotels and Suites, celebrating outstanding achievements across the African music industry.
