Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has removed Ms. Tinyan Otuomagie as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of New Edo Line Transport Services Limited, with immediate effect.
The development was confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday, January 15, 2026, by the State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Uwuilekhue Saturday Idehen, in Benin City.
According to the statement, the governor has approved the appointment of the company’s General Manager, Maintenance, Mr. Smart Aigbodion, as Acting Managing Director/CEO, pending the appointment of a substantive head for the transport firm.
Governor Okpebholo also directed that Ms. Otuomagie be redeployed to the Ministry of Information, where she will be assigned other duties as determined by the state government.
The statement added that all changes take immediate effect.
