Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has been rushed to hospital after suffering a sudden health emergency that caused her to collapse.
The actress disclosed the incident on her Instagram page, revealing that she woke up feeling numb and unable to sense parts of her body, a condition that left her deeply frightened.
Despite the alarming symptoms, Martins said she went ahead with her routine activities, including visiting her shop to carry out inventory and interview prospective staff. She reportedly slumped during the exercise and was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.
According to her account, doctors conducted more than 30 medical tests, including screenings for cancer, fibroids, kidney and liver conditions, malaria, and typhoid. All the tests reportedly returned negative results.
Sharing her experience, Martins attributed the episode to prolonged exhaustion, noting that she worked continuously throughout December without taking time off, even when her staff travelled for the festive season.
“I woke up and couldn’t feel any part of my body. For a moment, I felt lifeless. I still pushed myself to work, and that was when I slumped,” she wrote, adding that medical personnel confirmed she was extremely exhausted and in need of complete rest.
The actress said she is currently recuperating on a hospital bed and expressed gratitude to God for preserving her health. She also assured fans that she would recover fully.
Following her post, fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry have flooded her social media page with prayers, messages of support, and well-wishes for her speedy recovery.
