Popular Nollywood actress Kemisola Apesin, widely known as Kemity or Sidi, has dismissed allegations that she slept with male colleagues in exchange for film roles.
Kemity’s denial follows her involvement in the ongoing public dispute between actor Itele, her boss, and fellow actor Austin Emmanuel.
As previously reported by DAILY POST, Austin Emmanuel—who has been largely absent from the screen in recent years—accused Itele, his longtime associate, of betraying him during a period of professional decline.
Responding, Itele denied being Austin’s friend, stating that he was already a producer before meeting him. The comment further infuriated Austin, who countered that senior colleague Don Richard had introduced Itele to him when Austin was still at the height of his career.
Amid the exchange, Kemity cautioned Austin against dragging her boss into the controversy and threatened to expose what she described as his secrets. Her intervention sparked backlash from some of Austin’s supporters, who accused her of trading sex for roles and warned they would reveal additional information if she interfered again.
After days of silence, Kemity addressed the allegations on Instagram on Friday, firmly rejecting the claims. She wrote, “There’s something I need to clear respectfully. I’ve never used my body or slept with anyone to get featured in any film or exchanged sex for an opportunity. Nobody should let anyone deceive them because of social media noise.”
