Veteran Nigerian gospel singer Deborah Fasoyin, widely known for her classic song Odun n lo sopin, has dismissed reports circulating online claiming she is dead.
Reports of the Christ Apostolic Church singer’s alleged death went viral across social media and some media platforms on Monday, sparking concern among fans and followers.
However, the 86-year-old singer has refuted the claims, describing them as false and misleading.
In a video shared on social media, Fasoyin reassured the public that she is alive and in good health.
“Great day to you everybody, I’m happy to tell you that I’m hale and hearty, and what you’ve seen on Facebook is fake. I know that I will finish strong with supernatural sound health,” she said.
She further expressed confidence about her longevity and peaceful passing.
“I will go to my father in peace, not in sickness, not in pain. And I will die at a good old age just like my father, Abraham. Thank you very much,” she added.
Her statement has since eased fears among her admirers, putting an end to the widespread speculation about
