The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has announced that former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and Joel Adoga will be arraigned before the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
This was contained in a statement on Monday by Commission’s Head of Media and Public Communications, John Okor Odey.
He said the embattled former governor’s case is filed under suit number FHC/KD/73/2026.
According to the ICPC, the charges include alleged conversion and possession of public property as well as money laundering.
In a separate case, the Commission also filed charges against El-Rufai and Amadu Sule (LEDA) at the Kaduna State High Court, with suit number KDH/KAD/ICPC/01/26.
The second case involves allegations of abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage.
Both cases were instituted on March 18, 2026. While the date for arraignment at the State High Court is yet to be fixed, the ICPC confirmed that El-Rufai has been duly served.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to due process and adherence to the rule of law in prosecuting the cases.
