Manchester United boss, Ruben Amorim has explained why benched goalkeeper Andre Onana against Fulham.
Amorim opted to start goalkeeper Altay Bayindir ahead of Onana in Man United’s Premier League away tie against Fulham on Sunday evening.
Onana only recently returned from an injury that kept him out of Man United’s Premier League 1-0 defeat against Arsenal last weekend.
Speaking before the kick-off of Man United’s tie with Fulham at Craven Cottage, Amorim confirmed that his decision to play Bayindir ahead of Onana was a technical decision.
“It’s the kind of decision that the manager has to make,” Amorim said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“Just try to see the game, try to imagine the next game and try to put the best players to win the game, so I did that”.
