Former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili, has thrown his weight behind Governor Siminalayi Fubara amid the ongoing political turmoil in the state.
Speaking at an event in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Odili assured the governor of the unwavering support of Rivers people, encouraging him to remain resolute despite the challenges.
According to Odili, the people of the state have affirmed Fubara as the political leader of Rivers and are prepared to stand by him at all times. He urged the governor to stay firm and place his trust in God as he navigates the crisis.
Odili’s comments come against the backdrop of a renewed political confrontation between Governor Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Nigerian Newssphere reports.
