Afrobeats star Wizkid has reacted publicly to the recent altercation involving fellow artiste Burna Boy and his associate, DJ Tunez.
Burna Boy and members of his team were reportedly involved in an incident with DJ Tunez at Obi’s House in Lagos on Monday night, with claims that the DJ was assaulted during the clash.
Taking to his X account on Wednesday, Wizkid criticized Burna Boy, accusing him of relying on his entourage during the confrontation rather than handling the situation alone. He described the act as cowardly and used harsh words to ridicule his colleague.
In a controversial remark, Wizkid also revived allegations linking Burna Boy to embattled American music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs, mockingly referring to him as “Diddy’s babe.”
The comments have further fueled tension within the music industry, as reactions continue to trail the incident.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy has faced growing criticism over the alleged assault. The Nigerian DJ Association has reportedly imposed a temporary ban on his music pending the outcome of an investigation.
Several industry figures, including media personality Shopsydoo, have condemned the incident, stressing that violence has no place in the entertainment sector.
