President Muhammadu Buhari has paid tribute over the death of President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Professor George Obiozor.
Nigerian Newssphere learnt this in a statement released on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Femi Adesina.
Buhari extended his heartfelt condolences to Obiozor’s family, the government and the people of Imo State and Ndigbo, at home and in the Diaspora.
Buhari joins the Igbo nation in mourning the irreparable loss of this great son of Nigeria, even as he prays for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul.
The Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, confirmed the death of Obiozor on Wednesday.
Obiozor passed on at age 80.
