The Nigeria Police Council (NPC) has confirmed Tunji Disu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
The confirmation was made on Monday during a meeting of the Council held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had appointed Disu as acting IGP on February 24, 2026, following the resignation of Kayode Egbetokun.
The President officially decorated Disu as acting IGP on February 25.
