Arsenal have booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
The Gunners progressed on aggregate following a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano last week.
At the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta’s side controlled much of the first half but found it difficult to break down Atletico’s resolute defense.
Their breakthrough eventually came before the interval, as Bukayo Saka reacted quickest to a rebound from Leandro Trossard’s effort to slot home the decisive goal.
Atlético pushed for an equalizer after the break, but Arsenal held firm to secure a narrow win and a place in the final.
The Premier League side will now face either Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in the final scheduled for May 30. Champions League: Arsenal edge Atletico Madrid to reach final
