Famous Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has opened up on how Grammy-winning superstar Wizkid reshaped her understanding of confidence, saying she learned that true confidence does not require making noise.
Ayra Starr shared her experience while speaking in an interview on Tuesday, following her performance at the Grammy Museum.
Describing Wizkid as a “leading legend,” the Rush crooner said working with him left a lasting impression on her, particularly his calm and composed demeanor.
According to Ayra Starr, her first collaboration with Wizkid was overwhelming, but during their second encounter, she observed his quiet confidence and sense of purpose, which taught her a powerful lesson.
“Wizkid is a leading legend. We all know that. My first time working with him, I just couldn’t believe it, and I was myself. But the second time, he was very calm, cool, and relaxed,” she said.
She added that the experience helped her realize that confidence is not about being loud, noting that Wizkid’s calm presence and clear life mission inspired her and influenced her growth as an artist.
