Nigeria’s Super Eagles will receive approximately N7.28 million for each goal they score at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.
According to SCORENigeria, the incentive—equivalent to $5,000 per goal—is part of the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) plan to boost the morale of the Super Eagles at the competition. At current exchange rates, $5,000 is around N7.28 million.
The NFF, in conjunction with the sports ministry, introduced a similar gesture during the 2026 FIFA World Cup African playoffs.
Eric Chelle’s side pocketed $10,000 (about N14.56 million) for the win over the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on Tuesday.
They will hope to earn more from tonight’s clash with the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
The Group C encounter will kick off at 9 pm Nigeria time.
