Cameroon has booked their place in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, becoming the fourth team to reach the last eight.
The Indomitable Lions secured a 2-1 victory over South Africa in a tense Round of 16 clash played in Rabat on Sunday night.
Junior Tchamadeu gave Cameroon the lead in the 34th minute, before Christian Kofane doubled their advantage just two minutes into the second half, putting the Central Africans firmly in control.
However, South Africa mounted a late fightback, with Evidence Makgopa pulling one back in the 88th minute to set up a nervy finish. Cameroon held on to seal the win.
With the result, Cameroon joins hosts Morocco, Mali, and Senegal in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
