Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has firmly denied reports linking him with a potential move to Manchester City.
The Italian coach has been mentioned as a possible successor to Pep Guardiola amid speculation that the City boss could be nearing the end of his tenure at the Etihad Stadium. However, Maresca has played down the rumours, insisting his full attention remains on Chelsea.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Maresca described the reports as baseless.
“Links to Manchester City? It’s 100 per cent speculation. I don’t have time for that,” he said.
Maresca stressed that he is committed to his role at Stamford Bridge, noting that his contract runs until 2029.
“My focus is completely on Chelsea, and I’m proud to be here,” he added.
“It’s important to understand where such stories come from, but at the moment, they are just speculation.”
