Popular Nigerian streamer Peller has revealed that his mother discourages him from giving financial support to his father, citing ongoing pressure from him.
He made the statement during a livestream while reacting to the ongoing family controversy involving content creator GehGeh.
Reports indicate that GehGeh recently came under fire after his younger sister accused him of neglecting his siblings despite his perceived wealth. In response, he explained that although he is the first in his family to attain financial success, his resources are not sufficient to lift the entire family out of poverty. He added that he can only do his best without jeopardizing his own stability and encouraged his siblings to seek employment.
Commenting on the situation, Peller expressed concern that he could face a similar backlash from his own family. He disclosed that his father had previously threatened to call him out publicly over financial matters.
Explaining the pressure he faces, Peller said:
“My mummy doesn’t want me to give my daddy anything, but I still give it to him because he pays my school fees. I give him money and even buy a car for him, but he still asks for more the next day.”
He added that despite his continued support, the demands from his father have persisted. Peller also noted that he has made significant contributions to his mother’s welfare, including setting up several businesses for her.
The streamer had earlier spoken about his upbringing in an interview with Frank Edoho, where he linked some of his academic struggles to the impact of his parents’ separation.
