Popular Nigerian influencer VeryDarkMan and singer Seun Kuti have unfollowed each other on Instagram, fueling speculation about a possible fallout between the two.
The move comes amid VeryDarkMan’s ongoing legal dispute with Blord and has triggered widespread reactions on social media, with many suggesting tension between the former allies.
Although the exact cause of the apparent rift remains unclear, Seun Kuti appeared to take a jab at VeryDarkMan’s supporters—known as “Ratel”—in a viral Instagram story shared on Wednesday. In the post, he wrote, “You are rats, not ratels. Why una dey disguise?”
The development is particularly surprising to observers, given that VeryDarkMan had publicly backed Seun Kuti just weeks earlier during his clash with Wizkid over alleged disrespect toward the legacy of his father, Fela Kuti.
VeryDarkMan, who has been regarded as a close associate of the singer, also recently made headlines after visiting Fela Kuti’s gravesite, where he reportedly performed a ritual involving a ram.
