Former manager of Nigerian music icon Innocent 2face or “2Baba” Idibia, Kaka Igbokwe, has confirmed that the singer was arrested in London following an altercation with his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru.
2face had travelled to the United Kingdom with Natasha, who is also a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly, for a concert tour. However, the artiste failed to appear at a scheduled show on October 2, 2025, fuelling speculation about his whereabouts.
Rumours of his arrest emerged after reports claimed he was involved in a confrontation with Natasha at the airport. Speaking during an Instagram Live session with Daddy Freeze on Tuesday evening, Kaka Igbokwe — son of late music legend Christy Essien-Igbokwe — confirmed that the incident indeed took place.
Kaka, who was part of the London tour team and travelled on the same flight, explained that tensions flared when Natasha felt 2Baba had abandoned her upon arrival. According to him, the singer had been escorted by fans into a shop, prompting Natasha to believe he had left her behind.
Realising what had happened, 2Baba reportedly rushed back to Natasha, but the argument that followed drew the attention of authorities, leading to his arrest and being handcuffed.
A video of the arrest, shared by blogger Tosin Silverdam on TikTok on December 1, 2025, has since reignited public debate. Nigerian Newssphere had earlier reported the uncertainty surrounding the singer’s alleged arrest in the UK.
