The Obidient Movement has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the emergence of former presidential candidat Peter Obi, as Nigeria’s president in 2027 on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement he signed, Tanko called on members of the movement to intensify grassroots mobilization and structured political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“When we move together, we are unstoppable. When we organize, we win. When we vote, we transform nations.
“Now is the moment to translate that strength into structured political participation. Recruit. Register. Educate. Mobilize. Protect the vote.
“Let everywordd echo with determination. Let every LGA shine with organization. Let every household hear the message of hope.
“Rise, Obidients of Akwa Ibom. Rise in your thousands. Rise in unity. Rise in strategy. Rise in commitment.
“Together, under one banner and with one purpose, we march toward 202—andd by the grace of God and the strength of the people, we shall prevail.
“Collectively, we will ensure that Peter Obi becomes President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, because he has the energy, integrity, and capacity to build a new Nigeria.”
The statement underscores a shift from what it described as mere electoral enthusiasm to deliberate and sustained grassroots participation, particularly in Akwa Ibom State.
It stressed the need for coordinated action across wards and local government areas, with a focus on voter registration, civic education, organizedmobilization,n and vote protection.
According to the movement, the 2027 election represents a defining moment that will require discipline, structure,e and collective commitment rather than optimism alone.
