2026 World Cup: Spain’s Yamal named World’s most valuable footballer
With only a few days left before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has emerged as the world’s most valuable footballer.
According to the latest ranking released by the CIES Football Observatory, the 18-year-old has an estimated transfer value of €358 million ($416 million), placing him at the top of the global list.
Yamal leads the rankings ahead of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé. Haaland is valued at €227 million ($256 million), while Mbappé’s estimated worth stands at €166 million ($192 million).
The trio occupy the first three positions in the rankings.
In fourth place is Michael Olise with a valuation of €140.5 million, while Morgan Rogers rounds out the top five at €136.8 million.
The rest of the top ten includes Désiré Doué (€133.2 million), Kenan Yıldız (€133.0 million), Nico O’Reilly (€125.0 million), Arda Güler (€124.8 million), and Pau Cubarsí (€124.6 million).
