X suffers temporary outage in Nigeria, pther Countries

Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, experienced a major service disruption on Monday, leaving users in Nigeria and several other countries unable to access the app and website.

The platform, owned by U.S. tech billionaire Elon Musk, reportedly began malfunctioning early in the day, with many users complaining that the site failed to load.

Outage monitoring website Downdetector confirmed a spike in reports at about 2pm Nigerian time, indicating widespread access issues.

Nigerian Newssphere, however, reports that services were restored around 3pm the same day.

During the disruption, attempts to access the platform often resulted in the screen freezing on the X logo. Some users who were able to open their feeds encountered an error message that read, “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”
