The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday.
The development was confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who advised candidates to use the board’s approved channels to check their scores.
“The results for Monday, 20th, have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” the statement said.
According to JAMB, candidates can access their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number used during registration.
The release forms part of the board’s ongoing daily updates since the nationwide examination commenced on Thursday, April 16.
With over two million candidates participating in the computer-based test across various centers nationwide, JAMB has been announcing results in batches corresponding to each day of the exam.
The board had earlier released results for candidates who wrote the exam on Thursday, followed by a combined batch for Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.
However, the Friday and Saturday results were delayed beyond the initially scheduled time, leading to frustration among candidates. JAMB later apologized for the delay, explaining that it was due to the unavailability of its chief executive, who was engaged in official duties.
