Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has tipped the Blues to claim a 2-1 victory over Barcelona in their UEFA Champions League showdown at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Chelsea head into the clash on the back of a weekend Premier League win over Burnley, while Barcelona arrive buoyed by a commanding 4-0 LaLiga triumph against Athletic Club at Camp Nou.
Despite Barcelona’s strong form, Leboeuf believes Enzo Maresca’s men have the edge at home. Speaking to OLBG, the Frenchman predicted a 2-1 win for Chelsea and criticised the defensive approach of Barça manager Hansi Flick.
“Being positive, 2-1 to Chelsea,” Leboeuf said. “I see Barcelona playing a high line and that is insane. I don’t understand Hansi Flick and the way he plays. As a defender, I would refuse to play like that—put me on the bench; I don’t want to look like a fool.”
