Stop pretending, act now — Oyedepo blasts Tinubu

The General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, David Oyedepo, has criticized President Bola Tinubu over the worsening insecurity and economic hardship in Nigeria.

Speaking in a viral video circulating online, Oyedepo accused the Tinubu administration of failing to take decisive steps to address the country’s mounting security and economic challenges.

The cleric lamented the continued attacks and killings across the country, warning that Nigerians who have endured the situation for years may soon lose patience if urgent action is not taken.

Oyedepo also condemned those responsible for the killings of unarmed Nigerians, insisting that victims should not be expected to sympathize with perpetrators of such violence.

“The president needs to act now and stop pretending. You can’t slaughter members of my family and expect me to pray for you. I will pray against you and your household,” he said.

“The government is pretending like they don’t know what to do. I have been quiet for a long time, but the bubble is about to burst,” he added.

The cleric further accused the government of failing to appreciate the gravity of the security crisis, arguing that the country’s leaders have not demonstrated the urgency required to protect lives, restore public confidence and tackle the nation’s growing economic hardship.

Recall that Oyedepo recently warned Nigerian youths against sport betting.
