The Naira on Thursday recorded its fourth straight day of depreciation against the US Dollar at the official foreign exchange market.
According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the currency weakened further to N1,456.07 per dollar, compared to N1,455.38 traded on Wednesday. This reflects a day-to-day drop of 60 kobo and a cumulative decline of N4.21 over the past four trading days.
At the parallel (black) market, however, the Naira held steady at N1,490 per dollar, the same rate recorded on Wednesday.
The sustained pressure on the Naira comes despite a continued rise in Nigeria’s foreign reserves, which climbed to $45.41 billion as of November 10, 2025.
