Real Madrid have set two new attacking records in the Spanish LaLiga this season following their latest victory over Valencia.
According to OptaJose, Los Blancos are now the highest-scoring team from elaborate build-up attacks, with eight goals, and also lead in goals scored from set pieces, with 17, in the league this campaign.
In addition, only Villarreal, with eight goals, have scored more from counter-attacks than Real Madrid, who have seven so far this season.
The records were confirmed after Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Valencia on Sunday at the Mestalla Stadium. Goals from Álvaro Carreras and Kylian Mbappé secured all three points for Álvaro Arbeloa’s side.
After 23 matches, Real Madrid sits just one point behind league leaders Barcelona on the LaLiga table. They will host Real Sociedad in their next league fixture on Saturday.
