A fuel tanker carrying petroleum motor spirit (PMS) has overturned at the Tincan Liverpool Bridge in Apapa, Lagos.
Channels Television shared footage of the incident on Monday morning, showing individuals scooping fuel from the fallen tanker beneath the bridge.
“Happening now at Tincan Liverpool Bridge, Apapa: A tanker overturned, with people scooping its contents from underneath the bridge,” the station reported.
Nigerian Newssphere reports that tanker-related accidents and explosions remain a recurring tragedy across Nigeria, despite repeated warnings by authorities on the grave dangers of collecting spilled fuel.
