Christopher Maikalangu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) chairmanship race, has won at his polling unit.
Official results show that Maikalangu secured 229 votes, defeating his closest challenger, Dr. Moses Paul of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who polled 15 votes.
The APC candidate, who voted earlier in the day, commended the conduct of the exercise, describing the process as smooth and efficient.
“I am impressed with the turnout today; you can see that my people are out here to vote. I am satisfied with the process. In less than three minutes, I cast my vote. I think everything is okay,” he said.
