Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has said it is “clear” some players want a new club as they “train for the next chapter”.
Before their pre-season tour to the USA, Amorim revealed that five players – Marcus Rashford, Tyrell Malacia, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho – would not be going along with the squad.
Rashford eventually joined Barcelona on loan, but the latter four remain training at the club, although are not in included with the first team as it stands.
Amorim told reporters on Friday ahead of Man United’s Premier League clash with Fulham on Sunday: “I know it’s not a good thing to have players in this situation, but it’s clear that they want to play in a different club.
“We try to arrange everything for both parts to be happy. I have to imagine having training with the guys who I think are going to be the future and then the other guys are training for the next chapter.
“When the window is closed, we have to receive the players and then new life, anything can happen.”
